# Carbon Clean CEO appointed to the UK CCUS, Usage and Storage Taskforce

Carbon Clean Solutions (CCSL), a global leader in low cost carbon dioxide (CO2) separation technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of CEO Aniruddha Sharma to the UK Government’s Carbon Capture, Usage and Storage (CCUS) Cost Challenge Taskforce.

 

In his role, Aniruddha will help the Taskforce to deliver a strategic plan to reduce the cost of deploying CCUS in the UK, alongside a team of senior figures from financial, legal, industrial, academic and NGO communities. The team will produce practical policy recommendations to Government on how it can achieve its ambition of deploying CCUS at scale in the 2030s and contribute to the UK Industrial Strategy’s Clean Growth Grand Challenge. The plan will inform the Government’s CCUS deployment pathway to be published by the end of 2018.

 

With a career at the forefront of industrial decarbonisation technologies, Co-Founder and CEO Aniruddha has made extensive contributions to the energy and technology industries - experience that aligns with the commitment of the CCUS Taskforce to support low-carbon industrial strategies and maximise economic opportunities.
